My journey discovering the culture and beauty of Singapore
Hi, I'm Aminul.
I’m honestly saying that? I'm still a little surprised this blog exists.
I'm not a good travel writer. I don't have a fancy camera or a perfectly curated Instagram feed. I'm just a working professional from Bangladesh who, at some point, packed a bag and got on a plane to explore the Singapore — and couldn't stop thinking about it ever since.
The trip that started everything
I'd been working hard for years, and Still doing it. the kind of routine where weekdays blur into weekends and you suddenly realise you haven't done anything just for yourself in a long time. Singapore wasn't even my first choice, honestly. But flights were reasonable, the visa process was straightforward, and something about the city kept pulling at me.
The moment I stepped out of Changi Airport, I knew I'd made the right decition.
It wasn't one big dramatic moment. It was the small things. The way the MRT was so clean I felt guilty eating a biscuit. And it came to my nose The smell of char kway teow drifting out of a hawker centre at 11am. Standing in front of Thian Hock Keng Temple in Chinatown and feeling this strange mix of being completely foreign and completely at home.
I started writing things down on my phone. Notes, observations, prices, names of dishes I wanted to eat again. Somewhere along the way, those notes became this blog.

A few things about me
I work a regular job — the kind that doesn't leave a lot of room for spontaneity. Which is exactly why travel matters to me. It's the reset button. Singapore was that reset, and this blog is how I'm holding onto it.
I'm based in Bangladesh. I write in English because Singapore is an English-speaking city and because I want this to be useful for anyone planning a visit, wherever they're from.
I'm not an expert. I'm just someone who paid close attention.

Travel is not only about famous attractions but also about small moments.
I remember sitting at a hawker center and trying the famous Hainanese Chicken Rice while watching locals go about their daily lives. The simple meal tasted incredible and felt like a true local experience.
Another moment I want to remember is watching the city lights reflect on the water at Marina Bay. The quiet evening breeze and the glowing skyline created a peaceful atmosphere that made me appreciate the beauty of the city even more.
These little experiences often become the most meaningful memories of a journey.
If you have questions about Singapore, want to share your own experience, or just want to say hello — I'd genuinely love to hear from you. Head over to the Contact page and drop me a message.
Thanks for being here. It means more than you know.
